We here at chickenadoption.co.uk are interested in the welfare of chickens. We try to rehome Ex-Battery and abandoned chickens or those that are in need of medical attention. We are huge fans of chickens of course and all the money we raise from this chicken adoptions and donations go straight to helping out chickens. This can range from rehoming abandoned chickens to getting vetenary care for sick or injured chickens. You can help us by adopting one our chickens for a year, which means we can help other chickens. Nearly all of the chickens we have at our place are ex-battery hens or ones we have rescued from poultry auctions.

We run this on a part time basis as we all have to sadly work for a living don't we. So myself, my wife and two small boys, all devoted chicken fans spend much of our spare time getting ex-battery hens and rehoming them. We also visit local poultry auctions checking upon the welfare of those up for sale. The other thing we do is take in abandoned chickens or those longer wanted. Some people abandon their chickens because they think they will catch bird flu or because they are the 'in' thing to have yet can't be bothered with the hassle of looking after them.
